Platform Role and Disclaimer
Dance.today is not an event organizer, promoter, employer, or booking agent.
- We provide a platform to make social dance event information accessible.
- Events are created and submitted by independent organizers, dance schools, venues, or curated by Dance.today from publicly available sources ("Organizers").
- The accuracy, legality, safety, and execution of events are the sole responsibility of the Organizers.
- Dance.today may curate, aggregate, and optimize event information from publicly available sources, including but not limited to social media, public websites, ticketing platforms, and community channels. Such curation does not imply ownership, partnership, endorsement, or responsibility for the underlying event.
- Dance.today does not verify work permits, licenses, or legal compliance of event hosts and does not assume liability for events listed on the platform.
Restricted and Prohibited Content
You may not submit or promote:
- Illegal activities or services
- Misleading, deceptive, or fraudulent content
- Content that violates local laws or regulations
- Content that infringes intellectual property rights
We reserve the right to remove content and suspend accounts at our discretion.
Account Access and Verification
Some features, including restricted event data, are available only to registered and verified users. This restricted access is an intentional product feature designed to:
- Serve genuine users
- Prevent abuse and misuse
- Protect the integrity of curated content
Circumventing or abusing this access is strictly prohibited.
Intellectual Property
All platform content, including but not limited to event listings, titles, descriptions, edits, formatting, curated collections, platform layout, structure, and design, is owned by Dance.today or its licensors and protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
You may:
- View content
- Share links to Dance.today pages
You may not:
- Copy, reproduce, republish, redistribute, or commercialize content
- Recreate or mirror event lists
- Publish content outside Dance.today without permission
Automated Access, Scraping, and Abuse
You agree that you will not:
- Use bots, scrapers, scripts, or automation to access the platform
- Extract or harvest data, including restricted content
- Circumvent login, verification, or access controls
- Use content to build competing services
Any such activity constitutes a material breach of these Terms.
Enforcement and Remedies
We may:
- Suspend or terminate accounts
- Block IPs, devices, or sessions
- Remove content
- Apply technical countermeasures
- Pursue legal or equitable remedies
Our failure to enforce any provision does not waive our rights.
Third-Party Links and Platforms
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- Dance.today is provided "as is"
- We are not liable for event cancellations, injuries, losses, or disputes
- Users attend events at their own risk
Changes to Terms
Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with French law, regardless of conflict of law principles.
Any disputes related to the use of this platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent French courts.
Consumer Mediation
In accordance with Articles L611-1 to L616-3 of the French Code de la consommation, you have the right to resort to a consumer mediation process free of charge in the event of a dispute.
Before contacting a mediator, you must first attempt to resolve the dispute directly with us via our contact page.
If no amicable solution is found within a reasonable period, you may submit the dispute to the consumer mediator of your choice. The European Commission also provides an Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
